Why Water
Force exerted on you by the water. The deeper you go the greater the pressure.
The water essentially is giving our entire body a never-ending hug, increasing its squeeze the deeper we go. This squeezing moves blood from lower parts of our body to higher parts, increasing blood circulation while lowering heart rate. This hug gives our lungs a bit of a workout, making them work harder to expand. The constant pressure also reduces the sensory input to the brain, reducing pain.

Upward force caused by Hyrdrostatic pressure.
This upward force inhibits the effects of gravity. Up to 90% of body weight is eliminated when immersed up to our neck. Aides in movements equaling less stress on entire body.

Resistance force casued by friction from you moving through water. Water is 12-14 times more resistant than air.
Drag makes our bodies move slower while giving momentum behind it to move farther (increasing flexibility). This builds muscle, range of motion, and coordination/full-body engagement.
